The bearded white guy looks somewhat likely, but I reckon it'll end up coming out that the bombers weren't on camera near the time of the attack.

There's an image of one dude running with someone that's speculated to be a detonator. Raised my eyebrows. This is the top thread on Reddit's conspiracy forum right now, a better place for legit breaking shit than the major forums (reddit.com/r/conspiracy):

It made me think of that chant in the song I love Fearless by Pink Floyd, the chant for years something I mistook as haunting foreign-language reverse-speech found audio, lol, I really had no idea. I've vaguely known in recent years that it's the Liverpool FC song, not at all in reverse, and in English believe it or not. Never bothered to look up the song or lyrics. Did tonight. What a beautiful song. Sung so madly and emotionally by so many grown men! What a beautiful choice for fan unity and team spirit. Choked me up, to be honest, thinking about Monday.
For years I wondered, vaguely, which English club would be the real equivalent of the Red Sox. Arsenal was posited, explicitly, as the Sox were the substitute in our Fever Pitch. Then there's Manchester City, they of the recent miracle comeback or something after years of disappointment. I'm well aware that Manchester United is to be despised, they are the Yankees. And then Liverpool, which kind of seemed like it was being pushed on us the last few years as our sister club, since the Sox owner bought Liverpool. But that song, by god, yes. Puts our faddish Sweet Caroline to shame, although I do love Sweet Caroline, unlike many of my snobbier fellow Sox fan nerds. You'll Never Walk Alone. Beautiful.
And so then I looked up Liverpool on wikipedia, and noticed that Hillsborough thing that someone had linked to once as an example of massive blatant coordinated deception on the part of the government, law enforcement, and the media -- and boy was it ever! -- thankfully rectified for good just a few months ago, I guess. Still many sons of bitches who deserve a comeuppance, but at least the fans are finally, thoroughly vindicated. And then, I noticed the date. April 15th.
Needless to say, I'm now a Liverpool fan for life, whenever I happen to remember there's such a sport as soccer or whatever it's supposed to be called. Just kidding. It's a great sport, especially as far as sports that could be played without much dropoff by the armless and handless go. Just kidding. A beautiful game. A beautiful song. April 15th. Noticed that opposing fans did the same back then, sing their rivals' song. I guess there's a template. Still, that kind of thing moves me.

As for the "wrong city to f**k with," I just take that as a meaningless pep talk. They f**ked with a lot of people. Killed some, and crippled others for life. What's the city going to do to them? All of us are just sitting ducks for the sociopaths--official or freelance-- and fanatics out there, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Shit, a tiny part of me wonders what people might have thought of a husky, pale white guy with a shoddy wiffle haircut wearing a bulky black backpack (full of notes only) and a thousand-yard stare, smoking a cigarette near one of the explosions, what kind of red circles would be drawn. In other words: ME, if I had taken that job and taken a smoke break to catch some of the marathon. Would a piece of shit like Thorndike be casting aspersions on me? (Would I be dead? Limbless?) Would there be a report headlined "Officials investigating a white male with an online history of professing anti-American conspiracy theories", or some such shit? Would someone have tried to make me a patsy? Again, I direct you all to my premonition. It was just an intuition, but was it ever. Iamwhomiam can attest to my describing the deja vu I experienced at the interview for the job. JackRiddler can attest to my generalized paranoia and anxiety, but not too generalized because I did mention my fear of Boston being a terrorist target. Those aren't even the two best instances of my having told someone my premonition. People, I may be myself...a noteworthy story. "Link?" Me. I'm a link. If the company that offered me the job is mentioned even once in relation to this attack, I might just literally piss myself.

She started observing the scene after the rumor that someone had been arrested, which turned out later to be false. There was already a heavy police presence, and then the Feds started showing up in force – FBI, FEMA, DHS, etc were all there. It looked like they were bringing someone to the courthouse, which made sense to her at the time because she was still thinking that someone had been arrested. Then the news vans started showing up, and a big crowd congregated. About an hour later the bomb threat happened. The alphabet soup agencies started moving everyone away from the courthouse, including the news folks, and people came running out. Then, after the area was clear of news and civilians, a vehicle with an escort drove up to the side of the courthouse. She couldn’t see what it was doing there. Then she noticed a news report later in the day that said a judge magistrate had gone into the courthouse around 4pm.
It could be that the bomb threat was just a ruse, or maybe never even really happened, to get everyone away from the building. If they had in fact arrested someone, but didn’t want anyone to know about it yet. Whatever the real story is, I think a lot more happened there yesterday than we understand at this point…
